well son don’che know there’s
whole big swaths of ‘is ol’ back
country where you don’ git
outa yer car after pullin’ up
inna driveway

nosir
ain’ no doorbell
ringin’ goin’ on in
’em neighberhoods

y’set ‘ere ‘n wait
till they call off the hounds

prob’ly untrip the shotgun
was aimed at yer haid

invite y’own in

soma the bestest
rice ‘n beans in ‘ere
y’ever ate though
once ye git there

jus’ ’bout
drop ye
daid
