Self Forgiveness
There were things I didn’t know
There were things I didn’t see
There was pressing circumstance
Which took priority
Tried to make myself into
What others told me I should be
Made some promises which had
No basis in reality
Mine errors me much wisdom give
Though wish I might my harm undo
Until I learn myself forgive
I’ll never learn to forgive you

This poet is physically disabled. Public housing being insufficient to her medical and creative needs, she is presently living, in order to continue working, in her minivan, publishing all of her works using one thumb on the touch screen of her smartphone at an income of a fraction of her nation’s poverty level. She would treasure any donation you might care to offer ~ http://www.UgiftABLE.com ● #72D-31S

Oh so true, Ana…😕 I have struggled with this, lately. Coming to terms with your own crap means coming to terms with your anger or letting it devour you. I like to think I am winning but … 😕💕🙏
