Comfortable Blind
Why don’t you use plain ol’ words
That I am used to hearin’?
It’s your pinko poofter leanin’s
I am really fearin’
Don’t give me all that about
Yer finer shades of feelin’
I think that’s a load of crap
With which you are dealin’
Red is red and blue is blue
Purple when you add ’em up
But it works best fer me to say
Just plain ol’ “red plus blue,” ah-yup!
Why you make it into work?
Why you want to stretch ma mind?
What you want to make me see?
I’m plenty comfortable blind!

This poet is physically disabled. Public housing being insufficient to her medical and creative needs, she is presently living, in order to continue working, in her minivan, publishing all of her works using one thumb on the touch screen of her smartphone at an income of a fraction of her nation’s poverty level. She would treasure any donation you might care to offer ~ http://www.UgiftABLE.com ● #72D-31S
